Teresa Duddy


Teresa completed her Masters in Opera at the Chicago College of Performing Arts, USA in 2011 and her Bachelor of Music at the University of Melbourne in 2009. Recent performances include Lolette in La Rondine, title roles in L’Enfant et les Sortileges and Rita, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro with the Lyric Opera Studio of Weimar, and Clorinda in La Cenerentola with Lyric Opera of Chicago. Upon returning to Australia in 2012 her performances include Cindy and Wendy in Contact! as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly and  Naomi in Cinderella with Gertrude Opera. Roles with Victorian Opera include Rose (understudy) in What Next?, Cathy in Little Deaths, Madame Mao (understudy) and a chorus member in Nixon in China, and a member of the dance ensemble in Maria de Buenos Aires.  Teresa was the 2012 winner of the Warrnambool Eisteddfod Aria Competition, semi finalist for the German Australia Opera Grant, finalist for the Acclaim Awards and finalist for the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic. She is also a grant recipient from the Tait Memorial Trust, Opus 50, and the Opera and Arts Support Group.
