Bianca Baykara


Bianca is a 2010 graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Art, where she received the Robertson Family Trust scholarship. Bianca made her professional music theatre debut in An Officer & A Gentleman for GFO, understudying the role of Seegar. Most recently, she appeared in the MGM classic Singin’ In The Rain for The Production Company, and toured nationally as an original cast member in the concert Golden Oldies. Other theatre credits include national tours for Brainstorm Productions, Michelle in a.void (Sydney Fringe Festival) and Kim in Miss Saigon for CLOC. She travelled the world as a young singer in the Qantas “I Still Call Australia Home” TVC campaign.

Bianca has also studied dance under the direction of Robert Sturrock. Prior to NIDA, Bianca studied a B. Science at The University of Melbourne. She was thrilled to be selected as a semi-finalist in the 2012 and 2013 Rob Guest Endowment Award.

Bianca is delighted to be making her debut with Opera Australia in The King and I. She wishes to thank her agent, teachers and especially her wonderful family for their constant love and support.
